Main Descriptions

Our client is urgently hiring for General Worker and Housekeeper to join the team urgently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout all areas of the office
• To keep building in a clean and orderly condition
• To serve tea/coffee to the CEO and his guests
• To ensure that all walkways and reception area remain clean and free of debris
• Cleaning tasks such as washing walls and glass, mirrors, removing rubbish, dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming
• Emptying garbage bins on a daily basis
• To ensure that the kitchens are clean and tidy at all times, dishes are washed and fridges are clean
• To clean and polish furniture and fixtures and to clean the windows, frames and blinds
• To ensure that health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
• To ensure that bathrooms are kept sanitary throughout the day, e.g. ensure that there is enough toilet paper in the stalls, hand soap at the basins and replenish when required
• Informing management about cleaning supplies needed etc.
• May be assigned special tasks such as cleaning before and after big projects
• May be asked to run errands, collect mail or assist with a delivery.

Skills and Requirements:

• Must be well spoken with good command of English and Afrikaans
• Must be highly motivated and capable of working alone
• A friendly disposition with a strong client service focus
• Must have excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• A positive attitude and taking pride in work
• Must be well presented.
• Must have Matric/Grade 12
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the cleaning industry or related field
• Must be physically fit in order to perform a variety of cleaning duties
